G35 in limp mode.
G35 in limp mode.
Ok I have a 05 g35 6mt and I was going turning in an Intersection when my car went into limp mode. The ses light, slip and vdc light came on and would drive very slow. This happened before once a while back and pulled codes: P2138 P2122. Didn't put much attention to the codes because I disconnected battery and it didn't come back till now
Here's the vid of what it does:

It's the accelerator pedal itself, those codes are the ECM telling you that there is either a short, an open circuit, or an unexpected value returned from the accelerator pedal.
The pedal is just an electrical switch, there's a harness on the side of it, inside are two rheostat switches (extra one for redundancy when the first one fails) that deliver between 0.5 and 4.8 volts to the ECM depending on how much you press the pedal.
It's a fairly common failure point, you can replace just the switch without needing to buy the entire pedal assembly, it's about $35 for the switch. You will need to perform the APP relearn procedure steps in the FSM, section EC - Engine Controls under "basic service procedures" at the start of the document.
