VDC and Slip Light (Brake Fluid Perfect)
VDC and Slip Light (Brake Fluid Perfect)
Hey guys. So I did a full interior swap on my 2003 g35 coupe. Ever since I did that the VDC and Slip light stay on. I ripped apart to where those plugs where and everything is plugged in and secured. The button does not turn of the light.
the other day I was pulling out of a parking lot and the car started pumping the brake as if I was “Slipping”. Stopped and held the VDC button. Drove home fine.
From reading the forums people said check brake fluid (mines perfect). Also to replace brake pads/rotors, which is my next move. I know I’m due some new pads eventually, but mine do not squeak or anything. I do have the Brembo package if that helps.
Please help!!!

Recommend going to Nissan for a 1 hour diagnostic. There are literally 20+ different components that can be the problem and Nissan can just plug in the Consult - II/III tool and run the diagnostic test and tell you in about 15 minutes what the problem is.
The two biggest culprits are low brake fluid and wrong sized tires. If it's not that it could be any one of the 11 different sensors, or the wiring, or various other things that are difficult to troubleshoot without Consult - II/III.
What happened EXACTLY, was the vehicle working fine one day then suddenly it wasn't? Did you just get the car aligned or replacing anything to do with the steering or suspension (including components on the steering wheel) and then suddenly it didn't work?
Details.
