Who knows what this might be?
So had the car(06 g35 Manuel) for about 6 months now and I absolutely love it.. but just last week as I picked up the kids from school, the car started to smell like burnt clutch.. The person I bought it from had just installed a performance clutch and bearing right before I bought it.. I Don’t beat up the car on a daily basics but I do have fun in it.. well anyways the car shifts perfectly and and no slipping nor grinding on the gears but it started making this annoying noise specially in first gear.. as soon as I start the car and engage the clutch you can feel It and hear it.. let me know what you guys think it might be.. Miss driving my g.. Thanks a lot..

As soon as you ENGAGE (release the clutch pedal) or DISENGAGE (push on the clutch pedal)?
If you hear noise when you disengage it's usually the throwout bearing.
To test for clutch slip get out on the highway in 6th gear at about 2k rpm, stomp the throttle wide open and see if the rpm's quickly jump but the car doesn't accelerate exact the same.
Get the vehicle up in the air on jackstands or a lift and spin each tire by hand to make sure you don't have a dragging brake caliper, smoked brakes smells just like a smoked clutch. Brake caliper slide pins are notorious for sticking if people aren't lubricating them thoroughly when replacing the brakes.
Here's a good example of some SEVERE clutch slip.
Here's another example.
The rpm's don't need to jump as wildly as they are in these videos, if that needle jumps AT ALL that disproportionate to the travel speed then the clutch is slipping.
Taking a video of the annoying noise would help.

If you don't want to buy them from Z1 you can take the Nissan part numbers off the top of the page and buy them from your local Nissan dealership.
Make sure you bench bleed the master cylinder, you can look up a youtube video on how to do it, really easy for the clutch system.
Here's a link to the Factory Service Manual so you can look up procedure for repair, rebuild, etc. It's easy.
Section CL - Clutch, I strongly recommend you download all the sections of the FSM for your exact vehicle, no telling when they will be unavailable again. The entire document starts at FWD - Forward. The 2006 version also includes the "alphabetical index" document to search by keywords.
