Drivers window goes up when door is closed

Every time I close my drivers door with my car shut off and windows down the drivers window and only the drivers window goes up on its own. Can someone tell me how to stop this? My windows go down an inch as normal when the doors are opened and back up when they are closed, and the window up and down functions from my key fob or by putting the key in the door and turning twice works properly. I just can’t figure out why the drivers window goes up every time the door is closed. Please help.

Check to see if it's actually the door closing mechanism or the physical act of closing the door.

Do whatever you normally do to make this happen but don't actually shut the door, instead reach down on the door jamb (chassis side) and depress the door switch.

Your window should roll up that tiny amount after that switch is depressed, it should not actually roll your window all the way up if the window is currently rolled down.

Report back with your findings.

With the door open I pressed the door switch and the window rolled its self back up.

Ok it should only roll itself up 1/2" to tuck under the window sash, this will also only happen when the window was already rolled all the way up, it should have no effect whatsoever if the window was rolled down ANY amount.

If your window is moving up even when the window WAS partially rolled down then I would first recalibrate the window motor. Follow the steps on this page it's very simple.

I’ve already done the reset many times to no avail. It does do the 1/2” movements when the windows are up as it should. The problem is when the windows are down it puts the drivers window all the way up when the door is shut

I suspect something is wrong with the door key switch, unplug it and see if the problem persists.
