Problem ID / Oil leak source

2003 Infiniti G35 Sedan
I could really use a push in the right direction. I have some sort of oil leak on the top of the motor from a hose fitting seen in the picture. I have no idea what I’m looking at, but I know it needs to be fixed lol. If it would help to pull the cover off and post more pictures, I’d be happy to do it.
Also, the Slip and VDC lights are active on the instrument cluster. Probably not related, but wanted to mention it. Any advice is welcomed and much appreciated.

That's the PCV valve, remove the hose clamp, pull off the hose, the valve itself has a large hex at the bottom and screws into the valve cover. Unscrew it and shake it to make sure it's still rattling, it probably is, screw it back in again, replace the squeeze clamp with a worm drive clamp.

Plan in the future to replace all 3 PCV lines with silicone hoses like the ones available from Z1 Motorsports, your rubber is probably degrading and leaking oil vapor making that mess, using a worm drive clamp is a band-aid not a real fix.

Slip and VDC lights the most common culprit is low brake fluid level, check the reservoir and fill to the FULL mark with DOT 3 brake fluid.

Thank you for the quick replies. I will order the hoses and some clamps right away. And as soon as it stops raining, I will add brake fluid to FULL mark.

Again, Thanks so much for the help! I will report back after I get the hoses replaced and somehow clean up the oily mess everywhere! lol

I wouldn't worry too much about the oily mess, just wipe it down with a rag where you can reach it. It's not hurting anything, don't use harsh chemicals, don't spray water in your computer engine bay.
