Car stalling out
Car stalling out
I was recently using my g35 to jump start another vehicle and it began to start like choking and then stalled out, my gas gauge isnt accurate so I assumed I ran out of gas knowing I was already low so I put some gas in it and the battery appeared to be dead. I then used another vehicle to jump it and it turned over just fine but as soon as I took it off of the cables it would run for a little bit and then woukd begin to choke out and stall itself and after it would cut off, all of my lights would start to tweak wether it be them flashing or half of them on so I assumed an alternator issue, well I replaced the alternator and battery and it was running fine until I took It somewhere and I lost throttle response while driving, upon further inspection it only had no throttle response while it was in gear but in neutral or park it was just fine. My terminal to my battery was extremely lose and so I just replaced it today and the car turned over fine but my ac lights seemed to be dim and then after a few seconds I got my abs, slip, and vdc light and then all of the lights started cutting out and it started choking and stalled again. If anyone has any idea what it could be, I would greatly appreciate it, im completely stumped and my next thought is to start checking fuses
Grounding
I had someone tell me to check the grounding and I then I figured out It was only idling with around 11 volts which the battery itself should be pushing out around 12 and with the alternator it should be 13 to 14. I wanna check the ground for the new negative cable I just installed and then either check the grounding on the alternator or ground it now, im not sure if theres other groundings I should check or if I should install other ones
