Toughest part is that we both need to be available for an hour or so on the same day and he lives in woodbury and I live in blaine, one of these days I will get it done though.

Thanks for the pix man, I'm resizing them right now the boot looks great in your car! The new **** looks awesome man, have you heard about the mod to shorten the actual shifter so it sits lower?

i have. i was looking for the thread on it earlier. i need to be sure that i would still be able to use this new **** with the mod though. the **** is actually for a manual trans but i modified it to fit my auto.

i would like to go shorter, but i think the boot might bunch up on top of the plate too much. ideas??

Well honestly the way it looked with the stock shift **** looked perfect, it looks good now with the new **** but it just looks like its kind of high up I think if it was only a half inch to an inch shorter it would look a little more "sporty" I think the boot would look fine if you shortened the shift lever.

i agree. my original intention was to cut the shaft when i put the new shifter on. i just got excited and snapped a few pics now. ill give it a shot. it the boot bunches up too much, ill find a way to cut the plate a bit so the boot will rest lower
