Quote: I don't understand, isn't it a 4 year/60,000 mile limited warranty? How can you be out of warranty (unless you bought really early in 04?)?
Actually I bought it late in '03. I remember wanting to maybe get a deal on some leftover 03 models but the coupes were all sold out. Had to wait a bit and get an '04.

I agree infiniti service is awesome, I took my car in a month or so back saying I heard a "ticking" noise under the hood. The service rep Nigel came out and listened to it and asked if I had my 30k service done and I told him no because I bought the car @ 30k and it cost $750 lol. He said it is one of the two belts under the hood and they needed to be replaced at 30k but he said he would try to see if infiniti would let him replace them and good news, they did.

Infiniti service is awesome, coming from Mitsubishi where I had to fight with them because the brembo calipers were peeling.

its like night and day.

Quote: Great to hear the good experiences. Jason helped me before and he seemed very good. How is the service department in working with cars that are lowered? Do they do a good job in avoiding scraping the front bumper or exhaust as much as possible?
Just took my car in for servicing on Thursday (rattles and creaking). They took good care of my car. I mentioned that it was slightly lowered (Z/Coupe springs on sedan), front lip and exhaust - and everything was great. Now I have a nice quiet ride.

i've only had problems with infinity service i brought my car for a 25k mile check up, my cars lowered and they said it was fine. so i give them my keys and drive away with my girl in her truck. i get a call an hour later saying they won't do any work on my car because they can't get it on the lift, they wouldn't change the fluids look at my breaks, they just handed me back my keys and said go else where. -.- wasn't too happy about it.

I fail to see how that's our service department's fault? They wouldn't waste time telling you they could get it on the lift if they didn't think they could. They probably thought they could but later realized they couldn't. Nothing wrong with that. It's better that they find out later that they're unable to service your car and give you back your keys than try to throw it on the lift and **** something up in the process. Unfortunately we don't have a pit at work otherwise lowered cars wouldn't be a problem. I know for a fact that they service lowered cars at work provided the drop isn't too aggressive, but if the car is too low, how are the techs supposed to get it onto the lift? If you've got any ideas, let me know and I'll pass it on to service.

Wait a minute. You're the guy with JD's old car right? I remember when you brought it by. They didn't wanna put it up because the sideskirts were already cracking and they were worried that if they put it on the ramps to get the car up, the sideskirts wouldn't clear and would get even more fcuked up then they already were and we'd be held responsible. Thing is. If you want service to look at your car, you can always sign a waiver saying that if your vehicle is damaged via "normal service procedure", you won't hold the dealership liable. Tis the price you pay when you drive a modded car.

I understand your frustration and I'll be the first to admit that no dealership is perfect. There's no doubt in my mind that there have been instances where we've accidentally damaged a customer's vehicle. I would hope that whoever was responsible would be courageous enough to step forward. However at the same time, I've also witnessed first hand customers BS their way all the way up the chain and whine like a b**ch about how "we did this" and "we did that" when I know for a fact that we weren't responsible just because he or she wasn't man or woman enough to buck up and admit that they fcuked up their own car. That or they were too chang to pay for it. With that being said, I'm sure you can understand why service was hesitant to touch your car. Especially one as modded as JD's old car.

Jason never picks up his phone! It's been a couple days since I left my message too. But whenever I can actually get a hold of him he's very good. Someone tell Jason to pick up his phone!

Jason called me up today for some service questions I had. Other than that, I've never had problems with IoH.

Power window problem
Took my car in this morning cause the drivers side window wouldn't go back up after going thru the drive thru at Kapolei Starbucks on Thursday morning. Slightly frustrating since I had to wait until after my meeting at 730am to take care of it.

I even tried the alternate method of using my key in the door lock to the locked position for 2 secs but it didn't work.

Placed a call to the service department and Alvin gave me a suggestion to try, which was while the engine was running, putting the window switch to up with the right hand, and with the left hand closing the door pretty hard. That worked to get the window up and made an appointement to bring it in for Saturday morning with a loaner car.

They just called and said they confirmed the problem and should be ready by 11am. I guess they going to change out the window motor which from a search of this forum doesn't take very long.

Glad it's all covered by warranty.

Aloha all

That must have been you talking to Jason when I walked into his office this morning. I overheard him saying that they needed to "order a motor" as they didn't have one in stock and that they'd need to reschedule you to come back. As always I'm not surprised that you're happy with the service department. Those guys do a very good job here.
