Questions about buying a G37s from the dealership

So I went to infiniti of honolulu's website, and did the calculations for making a down payment of 10,000 and it showed me how the monthly payments would cost. About 460 a month for a 72 month term. Now my question is, if I go to the dealership, is it possible to work out a deal with them that would allow me to pay around the 300 a month range? With a down payment of 10,000? That's pretty much what I'm looking for. Thanks.

Hmm, when I bought my G, I put about the same amount down, and my payments were a little more. I'll tell you it all depends on your Credit, and the Financing rate you can get approved upon! Or what Bank you are using for your loan. I did not have any kind of credit at the time of my purchase, so my rate was kinda high, if I had credit like I do now, I could have gotten my Monthly down to like $410.

You should probably ask matt about how to lower your payments, I'm thinking unless you raise it to a 7 year loan vs. the 6 year loan you're looking at now, it's not possible to make it a 300.00 payment.

You might also check if you can get a credit union to do the loan, I'm with hawaii usa fcu and they have lower rates than my normal bank does.

Don't forget not to stretch yourself too thin when buying a car, you still got maintenance, wear items, gas, and insurance to worry about too. Not to mention if you got one of these to take care of

I have a couple other questions, when would it be the perfect time to ask the salesman if it's okay for me to mod the car? I've heard of being being able to get deals with the salesman where they can mod the car and the warranty won't be voided.

Also, if I wanted to order one, or whatever it's called, how long does it usually take. Sorry, this would be my first new car so I really don't know how things work at a dealership.

Mods void warrenties any bolt on mods are fine, but whenever you bring the car in make sure you replace them with the stock parts because they note it in the computer,

There is no way you will ever get that deal lower without more down. $300 is just out of the question.

Prices from edmunds.com:

G37S: $37,000
less $10, 000
Total less TTL+extended waranty+ dealer bs= 27000

IF YOU QUALIFY FOR 0% financing (ends tomorrow)

$27,000/72 months = $375/month.

As for mods, ask them what they will do? My dealer put on a used HKS muffler for me. They don't care that I have 350Z springs or aftermarked wheels. Everyones different.

Mods don't Void Warranties unless the Mods you Installed caused the car to fail in some way! there is a law that says this somewhere. Since I had my G, I got most of the Bolt-ons Installed, and when I take my car for work at the dealer, they don't say anything at all about my Mods! Our Infiniti dealer service is pretty Awesome. I had great customer service so far. And I think Infiniti of Honolulu installs Stillen Parts. So if you want to ask them about that when you are buying your car.

As far as ordering, I had to order my G, and it usually takes about 3 months from the time of order! It's a long wait, but well worth it. Be glad you are here, if in da mainland, the order takes a little longer than 3 months, but since we are closest to Japan. We get ours a little earlier! Good luck

Here's someone who actually knows what he's talking about.

In fact, even if a mod does cause something to fail on your car, it still doesn't mean that your warranty has been voided. If you install a CAI and your car throws a check engine light because of the CAI, then the work to diagnose and fix the CE light won't be covered under warranty. However if you install a CAI and your diff self destructs because of a factory defect, your diff will still be covered. A warranty as a whole is never completely voided because of mods. As Mike said, whatever you f**k up with your mods WON'T be covered. Things that fail due to factory defect while the car is still under warranty will be covered.

As for being "smart" and swapping out mods for stocks before bringing you car in for service...HAHAHAHAHA. Try it n00b. Let's just say that when I used to work at Infiniti, the service guys and I would laugh whenever we'd read about someone planning to "sneak something pass the dealership" on one of the boards. I worked in sales, but it wasn't just me who roamed the boards. WE KNOW ALL AT THE DEALERSHIP. Not to mention Hawaii is only so small. Everyone knows everyone's car. IF...IF you try to sneak something pass service and they catch you, forget about them ever working on your car again. Like Mike said, be honest and they'll be helpful.

Warranty is there to cover factory defects, not one's modding habits...or racing habits for that matter.

Hahahahahahaha!!!! Too funny

I think the only thing that totally voids someones warranty, without exception, would be a salvage title on the vehicle. Warranty won't cover anything on one of those regardless of cause.

People who try to swap out parts and go to their dealer generally fail pretty bad, mainly because it's a pain in the *** to do this every time they have a problem.

The crappy thing about going from a 60 month to 60+ months is the interest rates are surely going to jump up too. Yes the monthlies are lower, but in the end you will most likely end up paying a lot more $$$.
