TINT LAW?

So what's up with the new tint law? Did I read that right, a month ago it was posted on the boards here? Because I might make my tint a little bit more darker. Some feedback is always welcome.

Chris

Re: TINT LAW?

I have no idea about the revised law.

My suggestion is you call T&T Tinting and get the scoop. They should know, or it may even be posted on their website.

Re: TINT LAW?

Not 100% positive, but from what I've heard, mdnt's correct, $500 per offense. Also, if you have illegal tint, whoever installed the tint can get fined for installing the illegal tint.
Went to Al's and was told this. They also have a sign.

2K2 GS300 5AT SportDesign, Millenium Silver/Black

Re: TINT LAW?

I am not planning to tint my car anymore. Staying out of trouble. Thanks again.

Re: TINT LAW?

I recently got a ticket at a dui checkpoint and the officer said they'll be gunning for illegal tint this summer. He gave me a ticket for 1 window only, but said to call the traffic fines dept. because of the new law and fine structure. My ticket was only $97 so I paid it online. I'm seriously starting to consider stripping it off and going legal (my tint isn't even that dark 16.9%) because of the threat of a $500 fine.
