I'm Going To Hawaii!!!!!!!
Finally, a well deserved vacation for me. I will be going there for a week in September and will be staying at the Kaanapali Shores, Link Any thoughts about this place? Do I need a car to drive around or is everything in walking distance? I called up my insurance, AAA, and this is what they got for me for two people, with airfare, and accomodations for $1800. Thanks for your input.
thats in maui man. maui is home to 3 extremely hott G35's. 1 authentic Top Secret widebody in a custom FX color, and greddy boosted with 20" TS gold GT-C's, also, a black coupe with gold 20" Work Meisters S1's 3pc., with full greddy kit, and another black coupe with full burnout kit and greddy turbo.
however, maui is kinda boring.

if youre looking for rest and relaxation Maui is the place, if your looking for partying and clubbing Oahu is the place, but Oahu also has relaxation areas, too bad youre not comming pout to Oahu, Theres more city life here,
I would definitely get a car. Kaanapali is pretty much north of everything else. You'll want to go down to Lahaina for the shopping/galleries/bars, etc. A trip up to Haleakala (spelling?) crater is well worth the trip also. There's Makenna beach way south and you can stop by the shops at Wailea on the way. I don't think you can get the full meal deal without a car.
I think Maui has a great blend of R&R v. Nightlife. Kauai is the ultimate for R&R and Oahu is probably the best for the nightlife. I don't worry to much about the nightlife because you can get that any day at home. When I go on vacation, I want to get away from the city, not just go to another one. But I'm also getting older so ymmv obviously.
The best place for local food is in Kihei at 'Da Kitchen.' Big @ss portions and it's good eatin'. Have fun. My G/F and I have been to the various Islands 4 times in the last 2 years. We just got back from Maui (2nd time) and we're going to Kona again this fall for the second time.
