First scratch ....

Caused at the dealer when I took it in for an oil change. Jason said they would call me and set up an appointment to get it fixed. Its been a little over a week and no call (left a voice message yesterday). Should I be worried?

if Jason said he'd take care of it, i wouldn't worry. he may be super busy (what's new there?) and will get to you asap.

Dude I thought I was the only one. Get this...first time I took my G in for an oil change they scratched all four of my rims. I ended up selling the stock 17s and put on stock 18s. They compensated me with a "discount" on splash guards and front lip. Then I took it in last week for another oil change....this time they scratched my front lip and one rim!!! What the f*&# is going on? They ordered me a new lip and will swap out my damaged rim for a new one but what a pain!!! Who can we trust for servicing?

^^seems like tech's these days dont know how to treat a modded car... took my car in for a brake change.. and they obviously havent heard of a thin-walled socket... so my rims are nicked all along the lug holes...plus they dented my front bumper... sorry im not in hawaii just had to vent .. BTW sorry to see about your lip

Sen jen, you were right. Infiniti was really busy last week but I got a call back and set up an appointment to get it fixed.

Anyone know what body shop they usually deal with? I'm dropping my car off at the dealer (loaner) so Infiniti is making all the arrangements for the repair. I hope nothing else gets damaged at the body shop.

G35HAWAII, DaVeeD - Sorry to hear about that. Wow, at least you are getting new parts.

i took my car to sonics to install my teins. when i got the car back, one of my stock 18's were scratched and i had two chips on each of my front brembo brakes..........major fkn pain. i only noticed it about a week after when i was washing my car. i never complained, figuring they'd say i waited too long, or how did i know it didn't happen after they returned the car.

moral of the story............COMPLETELY overlook your car before and after it's serviced, modded, worked on, etc.

i don't want to say the name, and it's not a place i'd want to take my car. even though a lot of just off the boat G's already went there. they're okay. in your case, it shouldn't be much of a problem to fix. that scratch is really minor. and the location of the scratch is in a place where it's not extremely visible. if they buff it out and blend it won't look touched up (shouldn't if they do it well )

They repainted the entire lip. No rock chips! Just something minor - you can tell it was repainted by looking at the top where the rubber gasket is (some parts of the rubber have paint on it). Overall I'm happy with it; no overspray, runs, other damage to car, etc.
