True dual setups should be 2 1/2" - then again they should be designed properly as well.

You have to know what you want and what you expect to get before you buy anything - listen to system people have on their cars and do research.

A new system out there is from Fast Intentions - I'm biased and I'll be upfront about that - I will also be honest and tell you that lots of systems out there, in fact almost all them, drone and sound real rice. HOWEVER,m if your looking for that, then listen to them and get the volume level you want in the price range you can afford.

Stillen is known for having the most drone - and the Borla is likely the best bang for the buck - but it will drone and change it's sound a lot as you drive it - rattle and hum and all the rest.

PM me for more info on the Fast Intentions exhaust - or do a search as well...it is a great system and there is a group buy going on now for it.

Rick,

I'd love to see pictures, specs and dyno results for your new COUPE exhaust system. The pictures should be something similar to the ones I've attached.

As for Stillen being known for the most drone I find that a bit misleading. The Stillen dual catback exhaust for the COUPE and 350Z isn't known for droning. I've driven, ridden in many Coupes and 350Zs and lived with the Stillen exhaust for a time. I found their system did none of the bad things you claimed. I did find it to be a high quality system that released torque and horsepower.

The 1st Generation Stillen SEDAN catback exhaust is said by some to drone. This system is no longer available with the introduction of their 2nd Generation SEDAN catback exhaust system... which is quieter.

There's something about borla that I just really don't like... but to each his own. I love my HKS but I guess thats not really in the same price range as borla. Try to hear them both in person (in and out of the car) before you decide because thats what matters the most.

I am not a big fan of Borla either, Stillen exhaust is one of the best hands down not to mention it gives the most hp...

I have heard the new Stillen systems are better, and it does bother me that they didn't do it right the first time - BUT REMEMBER - as I said - I'm biased to a degree here. I started out trying to get a system that worked right and sounded right for my own car adn fell into an opportunity when the right combination was finally found.

Here's the links you'll want to see:

I'm not biased. I checked out all your links. It's an impressive looking and sounding system on my computer. I'll look forward to checking it out up front and personal. Your pre-muffler must have an internal x-pipe, right?

I found most everything except the dyno charts. Peak horsepower and torque claims are interesting but really don't tell you much in my book.

Stillen didn't do it right the first time? You must be referring to the SEDAN systems since Stillen has only made one G35 COUPE/350Z dual catback system. Can we see the pictures, specs and dyno charts for your SEDAN catback exhaust system?

While you're at it I guess you'll have to notify Turbo Magazine they screwed up when they found the Stillen dual catback exhaust made twice the power of any other system they had tested. I'm looking forward to seeing how your system does in independent dyno tests.

In case you haven't figured it out, I'm one of the long lurkers that until recently kept quiet. What gets me started is when someone finds it necessary to downgrade the competition in order to make their product look better. Your G35 COUPE catback exhaust system appears good enough to stand on it's own merits. That should be enough.

The dyno's are on the Fast Intentions web site and some of the threads. We don't yet have a Sedan version - but will - we have to get past the group buy and intro first.

Stillens' coupe system leaves a lot to be desires - HP and TQ may be great - but at an extreme level of discomfort overall.

The pre-muff is a perforated x-pipe.

Thanks for your support.
