NOT LABree---Fast Intentions!

PICS are here POST 211

https://g35driver.com/forums/intake-exhaust/91857-you-asked-tease-first-looks.html

http://www.fastintentions.com

The guys who designed and built them left - so the quality, craftsmanship and service just isn't there anymore.

Good new though...those same guys opened their own shop after leaving LaBree this past December - FAST INTENTIONS!!!!

So - the same quality is available. Tony and Danny really give the best service too.

Call Tony at the shop NOW if you want....I can't say much more...but there could be possibilities...

He'll have details on the warranty, etc as well, I don't want to mis-speak them.

Aren't all test pipes that are non-resonated basically the same? They are just straight pipes, nothing fancy. I have Helix, and they are fine aside from the rasp.

Assuming your buying non-resonated - for the most part yes.

You have to also consider the welds and design.

The testpipes need to be bent properly and designed off of stock manifolds properly not to cause binding in the system as well, so other components don't crack, etc. The Flanges are not all made the same or welded the same either.

Apples aren't always apples when you compare.

+1 for Labree, lifetime warranty. They both get them from the same manufacturer.

Warranty, as far as I know is the same. Building the product and it's quality is not...as those builders are not there anymore.

I also don't think LaBree uses the same size resonators Fast Intentions is using.

I not going to say that one is better than the other because I have not seen in person what Fast Intentions produces and a comparison would be useless unless one has had experience with both. With that said, I wouldn't sell Brent short. He had lots of experience and makes quality products. Last time I went, he was finishing up an S4 exhaust and, to say the least, very good construction.

When I talked to him before buying my test pipes, I belive he told me that when they got the design of the resonated test pipes right he ordered them from a company 100 units at a time.

When was that, by the way, when he was doing that S4?

When did you get the testpipes?

Here's the point I'm trying to make and some other details:

1 - LaBree doesn't order 100 sets of testpipes - they order 100 resonators and hand build the testpipes to order.

2 - The artists that do the great work at LaBree left and opened their own shop 6 months ago...Fast Intentions.

3 - The engineers that create and design and fabricate those LaBree parts, are the same ones that do that great work, that opened their own shop 6 months ago...Fast Intentions.

4 - there's no need to compare which product is best between the two - it just moved from one location to the other - just like the talent did!

If you used to love LaBree parts - you still can...Fast Intentions in my eyes...

Dan,
To clear things up for everyone. I designed/invented, did all of the dyno tuning myself, almost 3 years ago, on a G-35. Yes it was at Labree, BUT I was an independent contractor who brought my designs to the table.

This quality product and all others for that matter, that came out of that shop between September 2001-December 2005, were fabricated by either myself, Danny, or Mike. To add one more thing, All Audi products were designed by Danny as well.

I really have nothing bad to say about Brent or Labree motorsports. All I can say, is that the 300Z, 350Z/G-35, and Audi products were not Labree's designs. So good luck for anyone who wants to take a chance on his quality, and an even bigger good luck on his customer service.

If anyone has any questions please feel free and don't hesitate to contact me via e-mail, openly on this board, or by phone.

Thank you,

Tony (Fast Intentions)
