Help! Can't Decide What Exhaust to Get

Well i know this is a good problem to have, but my problem is deciding what i should get. I want to get a true dual b/c eventually I will be going FI with a TT setup. So far I think I've Narrowed it down the 3, the HKS Hi-Power Dual, the Fast Intentions Intimidator Exhaust, and the Injen TI Exhaust.

The Injen is the cheapest of the 3 and I don't have gobs of money to spend, or else i would be getting those TT's right now, but I want as much gains as possible and I don't want it to drone while just cruising down the freeway.

I have yet to hear the exhausts in person, but Ive heard clips. They all sound pretty good, just not so sure about the sound of the Injen some say its really loud, others say is sounds sick.

Well, I can tell you this . . . The HKS does not drone. I have been inside of a coupe with the Injen and it droned alot at around 2.5k.

Ok so Injen is out then, I think im leaning towards fast intentions but is there ant really power difference between the Fast Intentions and the HKS?

Exhaust......what to do?

Since your planning to go with FI you'll need the
best dual system so..........I'd stick with what has
been proven to be the best.....HKS!

OK - so here's a shocker - I'm replying to this one

Power between the two is your last worry - now get this - it will be hard for some of you to actually hear what I am going to write - don't buy either...YET!

Here are the questions - when are you going FI? What setup are you going to buy? Are you going to change your motor mounts? what else are you going to do?

This all needs to be understood before you go any further. None of these systems will directly bolt up, LIKELY, with headers, turbo manifolds, solid motor mounts, etc. They will have to be modified, as the systems are designed to work off of stock manifolds and positions.

So, you need to design what you want. You may want the Fast Intentions system...great! But you may want it built in 3", not 2 1/2" as is our standard build. Also for turbo builds, ultimately you want ZERO restriction and ZERO tolerance welds and pipe to device mating...boxed aftermarket systems are not designed that way.

I'd love for you to buy our system, but you need to plan it correctly, or you wont be happy in the end or get the performance from your mods if you don't.

I'm being honest here - not touting a product.

NOW to tout the shop and capabilities vs. product. Fast Intentions can built that solution. Whether it's modifying the Intimidator system for a TT setup with 3", or whatever, it's all doable and we're actually working on a few systems for customers across the country now for the very same desire.

You end up with the system you want, custom tailored to your setup and performance need.

HKS can't do that. Whether performance is the same or not - service can't be compared.

Rick
