so a 22" perforated resonator? i actually own a sedan and thought of buying a coupe middy, im not sure how much louder and expensive would be to have a 22" perforated resonator compared to a coupe middy

Sound changes.................

You could begin where I did with a CAI and Z-Tube,
1/2" MotorDyne spacer. Now you have top end that
can breathe swap out the cats for high flow units.
Headers would be my last mod on the list due to no
real benefit since you still have the OEM exhaust
system.....to have a crazy sound you need to get a
single cat-back system like Magnaflow!

The resonator, depending on who's you buy and where from is about $80 or so...cut out the factory insert new...

Headers are pretty much pointless on any car besides an NA race vehicle... Top end, mid range loses are not worth the money on the street.

What are you talking about I lost no I gained power everywhere in the band with my Crawfords. That mod gained me the most power of any that I have done.

My dyno is attached, Blue Line. The Red Line is an '05 with the RevUp motor and a spacer.

Wow - $800 - $1000 or more for .5 HP and about 7lbs of TQ???? Or if as most dyno's show it..the top is the oldest and the bottom the newest - a loss....

Lou - if this is the best gain you have ever seen from any mod you have done so far, I'd be embarrassed for my car's sake man....what's going on???

How can you fight for 1/2 HP gain? $2000 per HP!!!

EDIT: CORRECTION - You LOST .4 HP!!!

Rick

They're not pointless - they should be used in the right context, that's all.

OK - hold on Lou - That other car is not yours, correct or am I missing something?

If it's not yours, the dyno is useless to any of us! How about a before and after of YOUR car with and without headers?

I can show you a dyno of my car before my internal mods - all bolt ons only with headers - about 270HP and 260TQ, and it's an AT - but what does that mean for anyone to prove what headers will or will not do?

Guys

The other car is not mine, it's an '05 RevUp. Mine is an '03 6MT, We dynoed on the same day, and I thought the comparison would be good. I have no before dyno on my car, because I did all my mods over the course of 2 years. The headers were the last engine mode. The Rev-up puts out 20 more advertised horses than my coupe, but yet I put down more HP and Torque all the way up to 6300 RPM. And when I drove home that night after the header install, as I said it was the most significant mod I have done.
