headers+hiflow cats. a no rasp exhaust?

I was looking at old pictures and kind of miss my stock car a little bit.

(minus the CAI and the extra power I've gotten)

I think I'd like to look at a new exhaust that wont rattle and be so raspy

I know Injen is really the only rattle... but is there an exhaust that with headers and highflow cats that wont rasp (not stock)?

www.fastintentions.com

Also do a search for Fast Intentions, my alias, or Intimidator Exhaust. Let me know if you have any questions otherwise. You can also call Tony at the shop.

Cats and Borla sound pretty good

I don't know about the difference your header makes on the volume but my Random Cats and Borla sound like you are describing. I'm a 35 year old executive so I can show up with rasp and I am to old to deal with drone.

Do you think the Header makes that big of a volume difference? How much HP would you lose if you just switched one back to stock? Say the cats or the header? Just trying to brainstorm with you.

The rasp and drone issues are coming from the mufflers inability to cancel, reflect and absorb the exhaust pulse properly. Most aftermarket systems are designed to be loud - if they were too quiet, what would you be paying for...that's how most of the companies look at it.

Our system doesn't do that. All of the tone makes out of the pipes - none of it drones through the devices under the car and it does not rasp at all with testpipes or headers.

The Greddy Evo2 is a great alternative if you want something that doesn't rasp or drone. Even with headers and hfc it still quite at normal driving speed. It will make the exhaust sound deeper, but the HP gain is unreal. I didn't thing it would make that big of a difference in mine but it did. Goodluck with your choice.

Would you say the EVO2 and the SP2 have a similar effect as far as sound?

The first time an ECU mod ever made an exhaust rasp...where did you hear that one? I do hope you are kidding?

Crawford headers & Cats with Invidia G200 and "H" Pipe - Absolutely no Rasp or drone. Very mellow and smooth until you get on it, then it roars.

exhaust question

hey whats up, i was wondering if you have any sound clips of your exhaust.. i got the same one, and i was thinking of getting the "H" pipe also, but does it really make a difference? cause i love the exhaust, just that little raspy noise is kind of annoying... i just want it to sound deep and loud.. what other mods can i do to make the exhaust sound the best.. thanks for your help..
