Is it every 10k to wash and reoil?

 

umm i think its anywhere up to like 100k miles they say... but im at like 8k and i just ordered my jwt filter oil

 

100k miles? you can clean it every 3-4 oil changes...

 

i know you can clean it as often as you want... its just they claim you can wait a rediculous amount of time

 

If you care about the engine longevity [bearing/ring wear beyond 100,000 miles] do a test. Rig an auxillary oem filter after the oil type filter and examine what dirt gets thru the oiled filter over 10,000 miles ............... you may get a marketing lesson.

think about how a stock filter looks after 3 oil changes, you want someone to go 100k (33 oil changes) before cleaning?
