The SSV rocks!
I have an 03 sedan with the SSV intake, Stillen CAI/ztube and Stillen Gen2 exhaust. All I can say is that the performance of all these mods is incredible. The car now explodes the tires as never before on launch, revs faster with an incredible wail like a banshee, and gets up to 80 so fast, even I am amazed.
I had all of these things installed at my Infiniti dealer. The service manager took a "test drive" to see how it performed. He was amazed to say the least. He said that it was a lot stronger than any of the Coupes or Sedans he had ever driven. He admitted that he lit up the tires when turning the car around on a street and was really surprised. The assistant service manager was beaming ear to ear and was excited about the car as were several mechanics.
You guys that say the SSV makes no more horsepower are wrong. Not only does Kinetix provide the dyno information for the manifold, the way the car performs tells me that it has made a big improvement. I might also add that my fuel economy has gone up tremendously. Unfortunately, I don't live near anywhere near a track, so I can't back up what I am saying with real numbers. However, the guys who have wanted to play with me with similar kinds of vehicles have been shown my rear bumper.
I am sure a dyno tune and further tweaking will really make a difference. Lighten up on Jonpark.

i would just save up for f/i. i think i know how you feel, you want power now but you cant afford f/i now so youll take the loss and get this to keep you happy for the time. if i were you, i would probably get the mrev2+spacer to keep me happy. thats not what i suggest though, lol!
btw, do you have a revup?

I am well aware that all mods are dyno proven, yet sometimes don't work. However in this case, they do work. Really, an engine is one big air machine. The more air you can ingest and exhale, the better the performance. If you look at the tubes on the SSV, there is a ram effect. The airflow is straight and rammed into the cylinders.
All I can say is that it worked well with my car. Each car may have a slightly different state of tune. Perhaps mine was just a bit richer and is thus benefiting from the mods. The guys here who suggested a dyno tune or piggyback may be on to something. I had not thought of that. I might just try those things out as well.

so which is it? if the ssv was around 2 or 3 hundred would more people buy it even if they didnt have FI?i know mike from kinetix is very knowledgeable but then again his job is to sell the product...he said its fine on a NA engine but do you really lose power or just stay the same?i have been checking out various threads thru search and opinions are split..some say good some say bad...can more owners who have this chime in?

I have a Kinetix SSV Manifold. I had that put on a week before i had my other mods put on. I wanted to see how much of a gain i would get. All i can say is Oh my God. That thing made huge gains. I felt a big difference in performance. It was a great mod. I couldn't be happier with it. I don't know why everyone hates it. I love it and it made a BIG difference in my car! Flame on boys!
