Crawford Cats or Fast Intentions Cats?

Hello! I was wondering which would give me the most gains, the Crawford cats, or the Fast Intentions Ceramic cats?

Thank you!

check out ahero's review on the FI 300 cell highflow cats. He said he likes them & they do look really good. Im also considering getting these.

here is the review for the ceramic cats"

if you decide to get crawford cats, however, make sure you buy new ones and not used ones. crawford just released a new version of their cats that have new bracings. the new ones are not suppose to crack like the old ones lol.

my top 3 choices would be, fi metallics, fi ceramics, crawfords

Yea.. im thinking FI cats because I dont want to have the burning gas smell at stand stills. I wonder if the FI metallic cats could pass emissions.. and also, would the metallic cats throw a CEL?

FI cats are my #1 choice...and either way they wouldnt pass emissions during the visual...save the oem cats and swap them out when needed.

I don't have to worry about visual, cuz the place I go to don't bug my about that stuff. I've taken civics before with motor swaps. Their only concern is if I had a cat on or not. as long as the car had cats on, it could pass smog. I'm not sure about the metallic or ceramic cats. what would be the difference between the too.

Does one allow more flow then the other.

^^yes sir. the metallic cats are suppose to be more durable and are made for f/i cars. the fact that they are 300 cell (vs the 400 cell ceramic cats) means they will flow a little better. but to be honest, you shouldnt feel a whole lot of difference if any at all.

Legal vs. "offroad only"

Gang,

What's the real incentive for buying non-CARB HFC's? All the research I've done tells me that the Crawford and FI HFC's are the best but neither will pass emissions. I've heard of other HFC's that will pass emissions and the performance gain on those is maybe only a few HP fewer than the illegal ones above.

So is it really just a matter of a few HP?

Thanks,
B
