HKS is a true dual cat-back system. So if you get test pipes or hfc's the only thing you will be replacing is the stock cats.

Chris-HKS is pretty loud on it's own. If you drive normal, it has a nice deep growl to it. But when you punch it, it really roars. I wouldn't suggest test pipes unless you want it to be louder than that. I would suggest getting the exhaust first and letting it break in. It does get a little bit louder once it's broken in. If it's still not loud enough for you (I think it will be) then get test pipes.

The test pipes would replace your stock catalytic convertors. Test pipes help free up air flow for your exhaust cuz it is a straight through pipe. That's it. Nothing inside to restrict it.

keep in mind you can only have one or the other. you cant have high flow cats and test pipes.

so having a test pipe would elimate the catalytic converter, so that would be illegal in some states right. and HFC is a aftermarket cat with better flow? so you can either have a test pipe or HFC but not both rigth? TIA

test pipes are cat deletes, yes. i believe it is a federal law that says you cant touch/modify/change your cats until like 80k or something. and you wont pass emissions (not in cali at least). our cars have 4 cats. fast intentions HFCs only have two and they are ...high flowing...lol

and technically, like i said, you can have one test pipe and one high flow cat

but i highly you suggest to get one or the other lol

You either have high flow cats or test pipes not both.
The HKS system is a cat-back system which refers
to the system after the cats........understand?
