Re: Blitz intake filter

Man does that look sweet. I checked out sp engineerings website but no mention of G35 hop ups. How did you learn that something was out? Do you think it was worth the money? Did you do exhaust changes as well? Does the G35 now do a burnout if you want?

I have been waiting for some parts to finally release. Not sure if I should wait for more testing or just buy some of what is already out there. I would like to get the G35 to the 290-300hp range!

Thanks for the help!

Re: Blitz intake filter

Cersoft,
The cpu will adjust for the difference in air flow. the only adjustments are to the drive by wire throttle. No need to disconnect the battery.

Re: Blitz intake filter

With high performance mods like this, will there be additional wear/tear on the engine itself? That is, will I be sacrificing longevity of the engine for more HP/torque?

Re: Blitz intake filter

I phoned SP Engineering and they said the same thing, with add-ons such as an air filter, there is no need to disconnect the battery.

BTW, I think that my ecu is really digging all of this new air, the car is a fricking animal now ;-) (maybe it's just me?)

Also, the sound is unbelievable, a real throaty roar, kinda like a ferrari 348 ...

Re: Blitz intake filter

Is there a real sound difference? Is is just lous when you really step on it? I am thinking about getting an Air filter myself but if there a noise difference i might not get one since i don't like loud noises.

Re: Blitz intake filter

The noise only increases when you step on it, actually when the wife is in the car and I drive sedately, she actually thought that the engine sounded quieter (probably just her imagination), with light throttle, the engine is no louder I think.

I'm gonna try and sample the engine noise (probably a small movie from my digital camera) so you guys can judge for yourselves ....
