Re: change full intake system

Your open box is prolly ok, but not ideal.
Go for the Z-tube bro....Check out this thread on a dyno comparison: Z-Tube Dyno.
That mod is amazing- it yields about 5.7 hp and over 4 ft lbs. for only a little dough. Check out the ads for Z drivers who want to sell theirs, or log into my350Z and check out their ads.
If you can't get one for cheap, then they're available for $75. Still decent for that kind of gain.

Re: change full intake system

lol ya sorry bro I was yanking your chain. Don't go without a filter. I used to do that at the track and only at the track.

In frisco it would probably be a bad idea with all the polution , pigeon crap and fog. Is that where you live? I'm from the east bay.

Right now I actually had a 8"inch straight tube made for my Injen CAI system. This way during the rainy season I can keep the filter under the hood and out of the puddles. It's a 3"inch to 3 and 1/2 inch tube that will connect the MAS to the filter. This will have to do till the TT drops in .

I'm an east-bayer too, Pleasanton to be exact. However, Stillen + Z-tube costs more than the Nismo intake, which does the same job as those two components. It also has a bypass valve to prevent water injestion if you hit <very> deep puddles.

They are in stock at:

Re: change full intake system

I'll post sound/vids & pics from the Nismo install when it gets here. I will also (probably) be making my way up to Portland with the G for Xmas, and will likely take it to PIR for 1/4 mi runs with my brother. My brother is a private pilot, running a small airstrip, so we will have plenty of 100+ octane fuel as well. He's got some nastily boosted Cobra (AC, not the Mustang variety) he wants to time. If all goes well, I'll have the Crawford plenum installed too, and if the cold Oregon weather is nice enough not to be rainy, I should see some low 14's.

Stay tuned . . .

wassup shader I'm from castro valley. I work in hacienda though. Maybe I've seen you drive around. I thought that hill side in your picture looked familiar.

Have fun driving up to Oregon, theres some nice twisties going through 5. LOL not to mention the nice drivers in town, I forgot what town I stayed at, but all I could hear were engines revving and tires spinning all night.
