sound coming from the exhaust
sound coming from the exhaust
Just lately, whenever i start my car or just rev it up to 3000 in between it has this werid vibration noise.. i know it because i never heard it b4 and it really sounds annoying, it sounds like its coming from the exhaust inside itself, sound like theres something inside but not really. i dont really know what is wrong but im guessing the exhaust is somewhat loose? i really dont know..
i think its probobly the exhaust flex. not too sure about it to unless u provide a sound clip. do u have a aftermaket exhaust?
1. might be the exhaust flex.
2. exhaust hanger.
3. someone sticked something inside. :-p

Noises.........take it back to the dealership if you have any warrinty left or
if you don't run it by a reliable muffler shop and ask them to check it out.
You've got to have it in the air, running to find the rattle.....like on a hoist.

There is a very common problem with CATS and TP's and aftermarket exhaust combinations that make this sound. This is the first I have heard about it on a stock system.
The issue, usually, is that the engine firring order can be hear from about 2400-3600 or so RPM, at different points, as the exhaust is freer flowing, and you can generally hear more sound..even in the pipes themselves.
If this is happening to a stock car, I can only think that the CATS or the factory Y pipe is having an issue at the flex joints...which is also very common.
