Just opened the box to my new exhaust from Stillen of my Injen SES exhaust. No instructions, no problem, I think. There is one part in the hardware bag that I don't know what it is. It that looks as though it could be another hanger that maybe bolts onto the clamps. It is a solid short shaft that has a small piece of angle iron welded to it, with a whole in it.
Please let me know I am installing it tomorrow, Thanks in advance.
P.S. I did a good search and did not find this mentioned, and Stillen is closed

it bolts into an empty 10mm hole just in front of the rear axle, on the passenger side of the driveshaft tunnel. it will match up to one of the hangers on the pipes that go from the resonators to the mufflers
i have an injen ses in a box w about 10k on it if anybody wants it . . . pm me

Thank You very much! I hate wasting time, I would have figured it some time. It's in gonna be a whopping 31 here in Chi-Town on Sat. and after a few hours of fumes from the F#%$ing heater, a few cocktails and a tasty bud, probably would have figured it out!
Nice Mods on your ride dude!, and thanks again

Hey Audio File - I thinking about getting the AAM 5/16 Spacer, What did you install? How do you like it? All that BS

I have the aam angled spacer (Item #: aam35i-aps), it increases the backside of the plenum about 1/4 inch and is progressively larger towards the front where it's about 5/8 inch tall. It makes the front inside volume of the plenum the same as the rear, versus the stock situation where the front two cylinders are usually pretty starved for air. It lets you keep the stock engine cover too, which i really liked.
I didn't notice the massive sound difference that some people mention with plenum spacers or new upper plenum, but there's no doubt that it improved perfomance noticeably. Probably the best bang for the buck improvement, a close second is the lightened pullies.

Off subject..................!
There's only one place I'd buy a spacer from and that's MotorDyne! This
company designed the spacer for our engines and give you a complete kit
with everything included. (along with instructions anyone could follow)
Some of the companys won't even include gaskets and have you using
something like Permaseal instead. It's only smart to go to the people that
designed the spacer in the first place!

Motordyne's stuff is great too, I just liked the angled idea, and the fact that even increasing the volume in the plenum by so much, I was able to keep my engine cover on.
