Stillen Box 1/4 mile comparisons! Stock box vs stillen

I ran at Moroso a couple weeks back with my 06 coupe auto.

I had the stock box in with stock tube. Let the car run through first in full auto mode then switched to manual for the rest of the run.

Best run out of 4 in stock mode was 14.32 at 96.8mph. All the runs were in the 14.3-14.4 range.

I then switched to the stilled intake with OEM Z tube. I reset the computer and then ran it for a quick bite to eat outside the grounds. I put about 30 miles on it by the time I arrived back at the track.

I then had a chance to run the car 2 times. Both were in the high 14.1 range at 98mph. Best was 14.16 at 98.1mph

I came back this past Wed and ran another set of strong 14.1's.

Looks like the Intake worked on my car.

I'm moving to a Turbo setup and the Stillen is up in the Classifieds.

I am one of the few people who love to test instead of talk.

Take Care!

I think he meant 14.3-.4 since he said the intake works, but had slower times with the intake.

Maybe it was "Test instead of Type" or was it "Type instead of Test"

Why would anyone assume he would run faster w/ the stillen box?? It's my understanding an intake does nothing on the VQ except enhance the sound. Although, coupled w/ other mods, it may add something, but alone...it doesn't do anything. The stock intake actually does well.

Sorry,

Wrote that post on the fly. The car runs 14's not 13's. I edited.

I do have the 14.1 slip I will post. All my runs were low 2.1 60 foots.

I ran consecutive times back to back to prove the increase in HP the Stillen made. I ran 14.3's and 4's stock then 14.1's and a couple 2's with the box.

I drove the car the same way each time.
