Turbo XS Pipes Installed but broken already...

well installed for less than a week and the damn test pipes cracked at the strongest point -- the weld....

i hope the next set i'm picking up will be stronger. sucks i gotta take it off again but i'll install a borla exhaust when i put the new test pipes on

Damn Kenny.. you think it's just that one test pipe that was maybe pehaps just a faulty one that passed QC by mistake? lol :P

This happened to my Labree resonated as well. I just felt that it it would of been the first point to go since these pipes are only designed to replicate oem's position and can be a lil off which put a lot of pressure on the bracket. I had an exhaust shop weld it back for $20 and has held up fine.

this guy was shooting flames last night now about 10 G and Z drivers are placing orders for test pipes


anyways - it looks like a really poor weld up there

Don't mount it to the support brace. You'll get less cabin vibration as well.

i welded the crack and the SES shut off

the weld doesn't look like it broke - it looks like the pipe around the weld broke. must've been a lot of stress at that point

turbo xs makes the crappiest of stuff including BOV's. Mine always leaked and there pipes were known to crack.

yea, I had to replace my xs BOV twice!
