Nismo CAI

I was looking in G35everthing.com and came accross the NISMO CAI. I am in the market for CAI. I'd appreciate any input on the nismo CAI or any recommendations.

The OEM box is pretty good. In fact, a high-flow, drop-in filter and a Z-tube generally offer very similar results. But I think Stillen's enclosed box is considered the best of the CAI. Some of the others have led to idle and run-down stalling (when coming to a stop).

1+ for Stillen

Imo, its pointless getting a long ram CAI. Your not getting any power from an Intake (atleast not in our cars), so why risk sucking in water? It's a slim chance, but pointless to take the risk.

That HKS exhaust group buy is tempting. I'll probably gain alot more with that

I had an Injen CAI, and it worked just fine. I think you might want to go with a short ram setup though, like the ever popular Stillen or JWT ones. They're not that expensive, and should give you some low-end

The nismo cai comes with a bypass valve also, so you cant suck up water. I have the nismo cai and i have the short ram set up, and i love the sound. But i agree with skaterbasist, your getting an intake for the sound basically, because no intake will give u enough power to notice...

I actually went with the JWT pop charger and z-tube. Bought it this morning, installed it when I got home and I love it........I felt the difference. What hooked me was that it uses the venturi system concept.

the stillen air box is not a CAI it's a short ram setup. For the money a true CAI is much better than the stupid short ram setup. You actually get power out of an actual CAI (nismo, AEM, Injen, K&N)

It is? I've never seen a good dyno on that. Post it if you have one.
