K&N Replacement Air Filter 33-20312

I just hit 15,300 and purchased the K&N Air Filter. I know this is a drop-in, but to install it, do I need any tools?
I tried to remove the four clips but the thing wouldn't budge so when I get home after work - I guess I have to take the tools out. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
-George

there is a 10mm bolt that mounts the tube right next to the manifold remove that and unbolt the clamp from the throttle body either using a flat headed screwdriver or a 8mm. undo the clips again and it will give you enough room to replace the filter. attach tube & clamp back to tb and bolt the 10mm back to its mounting point and call it a night.

took me about 20 mins. the intake tube can seem a little rigid at first but it's easy.

I did a DIY on air filter replacement back in 2003. Look in the DIY forum. There are several ways to do it. Some more difficult than necessary. You may want to do like I did. I asked the mechanic at Infiniti how to change the air filter. It is quite easy.
It looks like my DIY was deleted.
Here is the way Infiniti told me to do it.
1) remove the front air scoop above the radiator by taking a small flat head screwdriver and popping up the plastic rivets, remove the rivets and save for later use.
2) remove the 10mm bolt securing the air box to the frame.
3) grab the power duct with your hand and pull upward. It pulls the air box out of two holes below. Take a flash light and look below the airbox. You will see two protrusions at the bottom ot the airbox and also see two holes below that they fit into.
4) unclip the clamps, open the box and replace filter.
Installation is reverse of the above.
After a few time doing it this way, you can change the filter in less than 1 minute.

You don't need to remove the air scoop above the radiator!

I basically did the following method:
http://www.infinitihelp.com/Ownershi...G35/AirG35.htm
When rev'ing up the engine (3,500-4,000 RPM) I hear a slight whistle sound...I know this is common but I do not have a z-tube. Is this common for people that just drop-in?
