I have an 05 6mt and I was wondering are theyre any pros and cons to certain intakes because my car is manual? If so, which one should i Get?

Sound is most important to me and on a side note do intakes effect the sound of the car when you start it up?

 

There are so many threads with regard to intakes, I would not know where to start. Everyone here has their own pros and cons about the different intakes. You have a ton of researching to do and then you will realize what I am getting at. I personally stuck with a short intake type set-up, due to hydrolocking fears, as some members have experienced and reported. In general, upon starting the car, there will be little difference which an intake will make. The sound will not be majorly significant.

Ah yes, the intake by itself doesn't do a lot except sound good. But by
adding a cat-back exhaust and spacer like a MotorDyne 5/16" the
combination of these make H.P. Then of course ya gotta get rid of the
G tube and replace it with our Z tube........more cool sounds and less bulk!
Since you're sorta new always do a search in reference to whatever your
interested in......read everything you can.....you'll find the answer your
looking for.....knowledge is power!
