Resonators Question
Resonators Question
Hey guys I was wondering if anyone cut there Resonators off there 07 G to get a lounder or more aggressive sound off there stock exhaust?
What are your thoughts Would you Recommend doing this? Cus i like the stock sound just wish it was a bit louder and a aftermarket exhaust is to loud for my Preference
thanks

or high flow cats
or change the resonator in the midpipe to a smaller one (not too small though). magnaflow resonator...your local muffler shop can probably order one for yah.

and no dont cut the resonator.
thanks wes g.
you can replace the resonator with smaller one, or you can remove it. i would not suggest replacing the stock muffler with a "performance turbo muffler" if you want to keep the stock sound, just amplified.
or, you can add high flow cats. that will open things up and in turn make it a bit louder.
keep in mind, removing the resonator in the midpipe are replacing it with too small of a resonator may cause rasp.
here are some sound clips of a stock exhaust with a replaced resonator:

granted they are not the best clips, they still give you an idea...

I like that, so those videos with the G35 coupe, the only thing done to the exhaust is smaller magnaflow resonator?
