Hey guys....

I was at the Valley fair shopping mall in santa clara, CA last night and as i was about to leave, i started my car and noticed that about 300 feet away, there was a red civic that had it's "prelim" alarm go off.

Pay attention to the red blurry civic at the back of the video and notice how far away i was from the civic and i still set its alarm off. This is one deep exhaust!!! Just so you know, I don't own that red civic and no one pressed an alarm off screen or anything.

setting off alarms with aftermarkets is very common. i do it all the time..

i got bored one day...and drove around two diff parking structures and set off 336 alarms..

childish? yes. fun? yes.

 

yeah, but that civic was damn far away....if this is typical, i had no idea =)

 

the sound of your exhaust is carried very far in parking garages.

 

iv set off alarms with the stock exhaust!

 

parking garages and bidges/overpasses tend to amplify and carry the exhaust sounds well. i've set off prelim alarms with the stock exhaust. but that's a cool vid. now you should make a vid of revving your exhaust so we can hear what is sounds like!

 

So have I and the car was about 15 spots down. It all depends on how the garage reflects/amplifies the exhaust sound and if it's in resonance. But I'm sure it'll happen much more often with aftermarket exhausts.

sorry to burst your bubble.. but the alarm on that thing has to be extremely sensitive to be set off that quickly. Not taking anything away from the loudness/deepness(vibration) of your exhaust. But that's pretty boober. lol.. still love that exhaust though!.

 

you shoulda seen how many alarms my buddy and i would set off playing the same song.. two different cars.. 2 12w7's.. with full exhausts on my old WRX and his turbo IS300
