Crawford HFC Installed

Not sure yet how I feel... low end TQ feels a little stronger. Off idle and all the way through 3K or so feels decent... but mid and upper isn't as strong - in fact, feels slightly de-tuned, almost gutless at some points.

Is it possible that the A/F has changed to the extent that timing is being pulled? I am getting the ECU re-flashed (again) tomorrow - and I really haven't driven it that much yet, but I'm hoping someone can chime in... Maybe the ECU needs to adapt?

After an ECU reset you will need to give it a little time to adapt.

I've heard that both headers and cats make you run lean enough to need a tune....see how it feels after your flash....

A very reputable shop... the install is fine - no issue there.

The reflash will help a lot.

Just need to either reflash the ECU or reset it and let it adjust. You should be feeling power the whole way through, but if you're like me you dont notice anything unless its like 100HP.

I have the F-Flash... it is the program based on Crawford plenum (even though it is 1/2" spacer), CAI and exhaust... do you think the update will have that big of an effect from just adding HFC?

I need to drive it more... I never expected huge gains - it's just weird that the low end is there and it feels weak in mid-upper end... not a lack of gains, but actually weaker than pre HFC.

I know the ECU flash will help but does it make sense that I have low end TQ and it's gutless above 3500?...

Yeah!!! Got TQ

Went to TS, was a little lean (15)... Tadashi got it dialed in A/F is now right about 13 steady... he also loaded an updated version of the drive by wire software to give a little better throttle response.

All the issues I had yesterday and this morning are gone! It pulls strong across the entire RMP range no more sluggish response!

I’m much more satisfied with the HFC now… I’m perplexed though that they aren’t as loud as I thought (not that that’s a bad thing) – it is a little more deep tone, but not much different than before (Stillen exhaust)

I'm happy

Sounds great Mike!

Can't wait to see the dyno. Even better, can't wait to see how it performs at the track.

Do you happen to have any dyno's? I'd love to see your latest dyno, even if its prior to the HFC.

TS dyno was broken
I was hoping to get b4 & after today... oh well, Stillen is coming up. I went by Church's toady too to talk with Shawn about something different... I thought about taking the car back there after TS to dyno but it was 3:00 and traffic sux!
Here is my last Church's and Stillen

Nice! Great to have TS so close. If I get their reflash, I have to sent it to them
