I think I saw some detailed instructions posted on the Jim Wolf Technology website. There were diagrams included and was quite thorough. Suggest you look there. Good luck.

Re: pop charger diy?

i never really heard a z but the sound isn't ricey. it's like a deep throaty whistle.? hard to explain you only hear when you get to 3k to 4k rpm though, but when you hear it ...sweet. anyone else with this install will say its a lot better from stock.

Re: pop charger diy?

I got my Z-tube and JWT pop charger from performance nissan today and it took almost 2 hours to install myself as I had a hard time getting the edge trim to fit onto the heat shield and air scoop.

I only took it for a short drive around the neighbor hood but it definitely sounds louder at higher RPMs and it seems like the RPMs rev up faster. I'm looking forward to taking our on the freeway!

Re: pop charger diy?

i just put it on and took it out for a drive.. i don't know if there is much of a gain, cause even if there is 6.5+ hp, you can't really feel it.. i think the sound itself is well worth it tho.. it has that distinct whistle sound and sounds awesome above 3500 rpms..

i do feel like it could shift *a little* faster, but not much.. i reallli tink it's all in my head tho..

Re: pop charger diy?

My Z-tube/JWT popcharger came today, but too late for me to install it. So tomorrow it is.

Anyone...do I hav e to "treat" the JWT in any way prior to installing it?

Mine came today also. Filter element is treated. That's why it's blue. The element is cloth, and is white. Put mine on, took almost 2 hours. What a b**ch putting on those rubber edge trim things. Started it up and drove around the block. Only difference so far is I can hear the intake whistle when idleing.
