service engine soon light after changing air filter

I had a tough time changing my air filter yesterday. I know I forgot to re-tighten the bolts on the air hose. Do you guys think that is the problem or did I mess up my air flow sensor? Thank you in advance

Just reset your ecu, damn your original filter must of been filthy, your just getting more air into the engine and the ecu needs to re-adjust.

Thanks man. I will try that, hopefully I didn't mess up the MAS while I was pushing and pulling trying to get the damn thing out. It was pretty dirty. It had been 15K since the last time I changed it. If it wasn't such a PITA I would replace it more often.

If you didn't tighten the clamp on the intake hose before running the car, you probably just had an intake leak after the MAS. That would cause a code. If you clear it and it doesn't return then you are ok.

Let us know if a reset does not cure the SES.

I tightened down the clamps on the hoses and re-set the ECU using the pedal method. Everything looks good. Hopefully it will stay that way. Thanks again guys
