intake

Is the following intake one of the best in the market for our cars.

K&N 69-7080TP Cold Air Intake

best is a subjective term. there's no concensus on which intake is the best. they're mostly for sound.

I meant in terms of HP and Torque increases.

CAI's are for sound only. There are no real gains coming from the different after market intake setups after the Throttle Body. You should see just about the same dyno's on all. You are paying for the sound. It's really up to you to decide how much you want to spend for what sound.

intake

my next upgrade was going to be a 5/16 spacer. Is this a good set with the K&N intake.

DO you guys think that with this setup I can take a Mazda 3 speed with intake upgrade.

^^just the intake or intake and spacer because with the 5/16 spacer you will feel more hp/tq

I run the stillen z-tube with the k&n cone filter and it is just fine. The total cost of the two of them was $106 shipped new. You can't beat that. I really don't understand why people spend $2-300 on CAI's, but what ever floats your boat.


I also run the Kinetix V plenum. I tried out the 1/2" MD spacer and stuck with my Kinetix. You just can't beat it IMHO.
