Dirtiest Air Filter???

I finally got a chance to crack the air box open and replace the original air filter. My car is only 3 months old and look at how filthy it got. No thanks to the BIG SoCal fire just a month or two back.

... YUCK!!!

Re: Dirtiest Air Filter???

Even though it looks like a filter at who knows how many miles, it appears to have done its job, assumming that the other side doesn't look like your front?

Bro, your G must be much happier now that it can breath again.

Yup. I'll say the filter definitely did it's job. The other side was squeeky clean (and it betta!). What a pain it was to get that sucker outta there!

Re: Dirtiest Air Filter???

Negative. The oem filter is made of paper and meant to be disposed when necessary. The recharger kit is designed only for K&N filter use

Re: Dirtiest Air Filter???

OEM Disposable Filter is ~$10.00
K&N Washable alternative is ~$40.00

Re: Dirtiest Air Filter???

Believe it or not, mine was dirtier. I live in santa ana and had to commute during the fires so my filter was literally all black..But is was a k&n so it washed off nicely.
