As far as the HKS torched tips on the FI, I personally believe it would not flow with the FI exhaust. Just as hero stated, it would seem as if the tips were randomly slapped on.

That's just my personal opinion. Whatever makes you happy, go for it! If HKS tips on the FI make you happy, im sure Tony can arrange that.

Well, I think I better get back to my studying. Biology calls

henry, the only thing i don't like about my hks is the fact that it makes my MPG go down (which is actually my fault ).

MPG? Whats that?

Even with the rediculous prices, I find myself "testing" my spacer install out. Redline here and there... love it

More mods = more excuses for fun.

i vote, i like it better than the current tips, but i still don't like the canister design. i like the straight through round mufflers like hks or injen.

Tony and I spoke a bit yesterday, all.

He's pretty serious about getting this done. Also keep in mind, we can put on just about any tip you want as well. You don't HAVE to have the standard Intimidator tips on your system.

I have on of the new Fast Intentions options tips on my car, they are a ~4 1/2" set.

I dont understand why everyone thinks this will look bad?!? When an exhaust is on a car you see the TIPS. Not the muffler. Honestly the HKS ****** have too much time on their hands and bought a really expensive exhaust that sounds terrible IMO. Stop bashing everything else! FI ftmfw!

i can see the mufflers on my exhaust.

oh wait, my friend has fast intentions. i can see the mufflers on his car, too!

shoot, i can see the muffler on single canister exhausts.

====================

the current FI tips fit the system design well. rick's tips aren't overly aggressive and also "fit" nicely. but there are reasons other exhausts such as stillen, rsr, greddy, etc. don't have torched tips - because they won't look good with the rest of the system design.

IMO, keep the system as it is - classy looking. unless you wanna sacrafice that unique/classy look just to sell more exhausts.

if someone REALLY wants the FI exhaust, let them buy these tips and have them custom welded on. any muffler shop will be able to do this with ease. just chop off the old tips and weld the new ones on.

^^^my two cents.

It seems like FI owners or soon to be owners are always bashing the HKS...If I had to pick an exhaust again i'd still go with HKS...HKS + Hiflow cats FTMFW!!!

EDIT: I just heard a HKS hi-power exhaust with Crawford cats...It was not as loud as I thought it would be...after hearing it i prefer my HKS with stock cats...

Huh? You serious?

The mufflers are as obvious as the tips. Especially in HKS & Fast Intentions.

I also don't see many FI people bashing the HKS. If they do, then it must be encrypted or something

It seems like it's usually them saying that the HKS is ricey, high pitched and act like the FI exhaust is the best out there...look up a few posts, one guy said "imo

the hks sounds terrible." That's his opinion and thats koo...imo FI looks worse then stock and without Hi flow cats it sounds like stock...

But then again maybe that's where you get that great sound by having that canister design they have.....
