Stillen Air Box, No Snorkel

Do I need the snorkel if I use the Stillen air box. I realize I will need to cover the hole or risk getting hot air in the intake (and possibly negating any advantages of the box in general.

I only ask this because I have a 350Z intake with less than stellar airflow in the G.

Ok, let me rephrase this, is the snorkel necessary?

Will I see improvement in air intake if I use the Stillen and close off the opening for the snorkel?

Which part? The big on on the left? Can't you attach your oem one? Same with the little one. Use your oem one. I got my stillen from a FX35 owner. But I could attached all my oem ducts (although on isn't attached in this pic)

I don't have the part on the left.

I also don't have the normal airbox for a G. My G has a 350Z airbox installed.

Does yours have a provision for it? If yes, does your oem one fit?

The previous owner must have put the 350Z airbox in there in 'improve' performance.

OEM would fit if I had one.

The Stillen costs as much as the the OEM airbox so I thought I might just as well get a little additional performace in ther while I'm at it.

Ah I get it. Should be pretty easy to get someone to sell you the oem piece cheap enough.

All the guys wasting their time on "CAI"s can't use that oem snorkel anyway. Hell, I bet someone would give you theirs.

You mean the powder duct that goes in front of the airbox.

yes you will need to reuse the one from your oem intake
