California CARB legal?
So I just took my 06mt in to get the headlights replaced and have a couple of minor warrantee issues taken care of and when the tech looked under the hood he told me my Stillen CAI was not CARB legal. Is this true? I also have plenum spacer and MREV installed along with HKS exhaust and am wondering how much trouble is it going to be to get smogged?
if you get pulled over and get sent to state referee.. your screwed. happend to me with my aem cai. i had to take it off and put the stock airbox on. just dont open your hood for any cops and you should be fine

I'm not worried about cops, just when I have to do smog inspection (which is still couple of years away). I figure if a cop is digging under my hood I'm already in a heap of trouble, lol.

It'll depend if the smog tech is really snooping or not too.
U should have got injen... They're carb legal...
If u have a dick for an officer he will write u a ticket... A girl i knew had a 4 door integra with only an aftermarket intake and the officer wrote her a ticket... Just bad luck... And her car looks completely stock...

Here's the link to the California Air Resources Board page where you can look up parts by manufacturer or CARB number (or "Executive Order Number") -
http://www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/aftermk...es/amquery.php
Scroll down to "List Executive Order By Device", click on "Manufacturer", and well, the rest should be easy.
All parts with a CARB number is in here, so if you don't see it, it doesn't have a CARB number.
I suggest you guys bookmark this for future reference...
Oh and btw, it helps to have the part number. And... Stillen's last update for intakes was in 2000, so that means their G35 intake is not CARB legal (yet?).
