FI Exhaust too similar to stock?
Ok i bought the Fast Intentions exhaust for my 06 coupe, and at low rpms like 1-4 it sounds nice, but as soon as i hit 5 and above, it sounds EXACTLY like stock. The installer at Premier told me that when i get test pipes, itll make it sound much deeper. Is this true?
Since you live in Florida.............
Since you live in Florida you can get away with test pipes, and yes they'll
make a difference how your system sounds. If you're judging how your
exhaust sounds from the drivers seat you need to let someone drive your G
while you stand outside and listen. It may be better than you think!

it sounds different at like 1-3 rpm, but when i floor it, it sounds exactly like stock. I think i just need test pipes. The sound clips on fastintentions.com sounds nothing like my car, perhaps that 350z had test pipes also.

Hey there -
How long has the system been in place? I wouldn't change anything until you have at least 500-750 miles on the new system. It needs to season a bit for you to really get the true sound out of it, before you try and change it.
The Z on the site, does have the resonated testpipes installed on it as well.

He's got the resonated test pipes installed as well. This video was done just a day or so after install.
