Question Stillen dual exhaust install...

Hey guys, I'm looking to get the Stillen dual-path exhaust for my 05 coupe. Is this something I can do in the garage, or should I get a shop to do it? I have ramps, but it will be tight under the car...has anyone done it at home (no-lift)? Thanks!!

Just remember you gotta break those bolts loose, you might want to have some good air tools or be able to put some elbow grease into it. and make sure to get help, it's easier to bolt on the exhaust with 4 hands. good luck

ahhh....Penetrating oil must be added to my list! Are the Jack points easy to spot? Any recommendations for getting the car up...this is my first garage install; I used to have access to a lift

Any wielding involved or is it all bolt-on? The exhaust should be here this week...

all bolt on. easy if you can break the stock bolts loose. just get the car high enough on the jackstands or ramp. make sure you torque to the right specs also and check for leaks.

Most muffler shops will install it for $60 (45 minutes to an hour of labor). Not really worth crawling under there and risking injury etc for a lousy $60. Plus if anything goes wrong later, they have insurance to cover any damage. You install it, you are liable.

Do it yourself. It's fun, easy, and you will have that satisfaction of accomplishment (and a few extra bucks you'd save).

It's all bolt-on
.

Use band clamps, not the U-clamps that are with the Stillen kit...mine had a leak on the drivers' side and because they used the U-clamps first, band clamps would also leak due to the indent made.

I'm getting the mid-pipes wielded today...
