Re: installed pop charger but whisling sound?
One last concern guys! After installing the pop charger i get thise rattle when i turn off the car that seems to be coming from the exhuast when its parked in nutural. However if i park the car and i have the clutch in and i turn off the car it shuts down like normal with no rattles. Is that also normal?

Old thread I know, but it's better than starting a new one on the same subject.
I just installed mine today, and I was wondering about the whistle. Could it be coming from where the MAF seats to the filter housing? I know it could be a normal sound for cones, but what if the surface of the filter housing wasn't flat enough to seat the MAF housing all the way around? Maybe the air rushing in through a small gap is making the whistle sound, or at least contributing to it.
I may try a gasket between the two to ease my concerns.
What do you guys think?
Regards,
John

It's not the MAF, it is the nature of the Venturi ring. The way it funnels the air causes a whistle, very common, mine seems to only happen whent he outside temp is over 70.

Xenon,
You almost answered your own question:
The rattle you near when shutting your car off in neutral is the clutch. When you push the clutch in and turn it off, the plates are pressed together and therefore can't rattle. I noticed the same thing on my 6MT sedan long ago.
Perhaps it's a characteristic of a "high performance" clutch (that handles loads from a high power engine). My previous S2000 used to do it too.
