Should I go with the Stillen Intake?

I know from reading on here that it's a mod only for sound & not performance. I'm contemplating on getting one, but am currently using a K&N drop-in filter w/ a z-tube. I have a plenum spacer, an aftermarket Y-pipe, the coupe middy & an HKS sport muffler. Looking to get some more air into my car and some more intake/exhaust sound...so the question is this...based on my current air intake config., will I notice a difference if I install the Stillen? Anyone on here go from the K&N w/ Z-tube to the Stillen & notice a difference or regret doing so?

Help me make up my mind!

Thanks

Stillen will sound the same as the JWT but looks better and does not have any of the same heat soak. Performance is within 1-2hp. Is that worth the extra money? That's up to you.

Yes, all that heat soak must be great

I think I would be able to make a better heat shield with cardboard and some scissors than the JWT "heat shield'.

Replace that K&N with a Streamline.

i have one and i reccomend it. it's nice and stealthy retain's the oem fresh air intake ducting. as far as sound it's perfect, if you want to be quiet and sound stock you just dont bury the pedal. but once you do open it up you definatley notice. definatley one of my favorite all around mods.

why a poll?... generally in a poll you will get most recent impressions/opinions - which (no offense to anyone) recently hasn't been the most appropriate or knowledgeable...

Why not just research the bazillions of posts about it and make a well-researched educated decision?...

Do you really care what a few dozen people in you poll say?…

I have already gone thru and read all the info. after searching "stillen intake"...read thru at least 2-3 pages of threads, but didn't come across anyone who went from the K&N to this. If you read my post/question/situation in detail, you'd see that I'm also trying to get some comparisons of the K&N drop-in filter vs. the Stillen...that's why the poll (the true intent of it). I'm one who does lots of research thru this forum before making a purchase....I need to make sure doing a mod will make me happy before pulling the trigger on it.

g35ctuner - thanks for the input

I'm not going to get nearly as much info. as I wanted to on this, now that the mods moved this from the sedan section to the intake....as I was hoping to see what other sedan members thought (since our exhausts aren't nearly as close to the coupe ones...and the results/sounds I think would vary)....oh well...that topic has already been beaten to death, so I won't talk about it anymore.
