Bottom line is if you run the engine cover on a crawford you can ruin the power coat finish like I did, not worth it.

Question:

I'm not really into the polished look, since I like leaving the engine cover on there... but there are 2 different types of Crawford Z Plenums you can buy... the seemless one and the one showing the weld (such as the post above with the picture)...

Is there a big difference in power or engine cover fitment between the two designs? (the half welded look or the seemless design look?)

They are both the same size... the latest is just the latest evolution of the design. I ordered mine with a black powder coat finish and will cut the engine cover to fit if I decide to put it back on at all.

 

When you get the Black Plenum PLEASE take a pic and start a thread ASAP!!!
