IS B and B exhaust better than Borla for the coupe? where do ubuy it ?

 

B&B has been around since the mid 80's. B&B which stands for Billy Boat, who's a pro race car driver, got his start in the exhaust biz by designing some very high-end and very specialized exhaust systems for Porsche's. These were and still are today among the best you can buy for a Porsche. Since then, B&B has come out with all types of systems for numerious applications, and what's really cool about B&B is they can tailer an exhaust system around your needs. From all out race designs to street systems, design so they do NOT rob you of that much needed back pressure for low to mid end grunt.

I had a race application B&B Tri-Flow system on my 95 Supercharged M3 and it was a beast! Very nice systems! Quality is top notch, fully polished, you can't go wrong with B&B.

If I had a choice between the B&B and the Borla, I would get the B&B. Its one of the louder systems on the market today for the G, and although I really don't care for its sound on the G, it is by a better system have and own than the no-frills Borla.

I have BRM exhaust which is made by B&B. It is tig welded and sound awesome. Best mod I made.

Well in terms of quality and workmanship, I would say the B&B is better than Borla but if you want a more free-flowing exhaust, the Borla is tough to beat. Here is a link to to an independent dyno of the B&B exhaust....granted it is on a 350z

do you have a sound clip of your exhaust? (BRM)

 

I am trying to find out how I can get a good sound clip with my digital camera. So far it sound distant and muffled.
What state are you in?

All cameras are designed diferently, and depending on where you place the camera , the sound may be distorted a bit. Try place the camera 3-4' to the left or right of the exhaust system or about 5-7' feet behind it. Avoid putting it to close to the tips, as this will only add to the high distortion. Your camera, if has a movie mode, should have settings for which you can also adjust the resoloution of the image. The quality and length of the video as well as the audio (digital rate) will depend largly on the size of your camera (mega pix) and the card that you use, and lastly the cameras moving coding software (MPEG, AVI and so on).
