WOW Fast Intension Intimidator

The FI exhaust, on an independent test, put out 87db - with stock cats and manifolds. With the 400 cell cats, it went up to 91db. I do not know what the 300 cell put out, but I would VENTURE A GUESS at about 94-95db.
My car - for instance - headers, ceramic cats, intimidator - engine mods, Vortech and more...put out 98DB about 6 weeks after install. 6 months later, it was at 103db - but the car is heavily modified.
California standards are 95db. I know many cops who have ticketed bone stock G's and Z's for loud exhaust.

Alright, so without headers, it looks like I'd be tip-toeing the line (maybe under with ceramics, over with metallics, but either way pretty close). I think I'll stick without HFCs for the time being, and when I get bored in a month or two, stick a set in.
I take it the tests were done the standard way.....4500 rpm, yes?
Thanks for all your help Rick. I appreciate your technical replies, rather than just vague crap answers.

So - I would love to meet up, but can't...and here goes a story I wasn't ready for yet - next week or over the weekend, OK...so here's that cat right out of the bag!
For the last few days, I have been completely reverting my car back to stock. Over the next few months - I will be making a decision on my next development platform as I meet with manufacturers, etc. Either the G37 Coupe or the Lexus IS-F are my choices. I cannot make the decision until likely January when I can begin to get my hands on a final production IS-F.
So - needless to say - over the weekend, I will be posting a list of 'items for sale'.

Any chance you have a Stillen airbox in that list for sale? I'm looking for one, and they seem to be a little pricier than I'd like new, and hard to find used. Good luck with all your future ventures!

Also - no Stillen airbox - sold that about a year ago - I'm talking about a Vortech kit - with 4 pulleys, EMU, Injectors, Suspension, HKS Twin Power, and more, more, more...

Hmmm, can't afford the Vortech, but what suspension you getting rid of? I have front and rear SPC camber kits on the way, so I need to decide on coils and rims soon. Also interested in the "more, more, more" part... Probably need a tune eventually as well.... Let me know when you get a few of these things together, as I'm trying to get this stuff on ASAP.
PS: Don't you need a license to sell Emu's? Besides, I hear they have bad temperaments.

Yeah I would definately go with the IS-F over a G37. IS-F is a higher up in class & performance, like the M3. Which brings up the question: Rick, why don't you have the new M3 in mind? I like the IS-F, but prefer the M3. I believe it looks much sportier and, if it remains as it currently is with brand identity, the M3 will probably be sportier than the IS-F. I like both, but too bad a manual isn't an option for the IS-F.
Goodluck with the next car Rick!
PS. UnluckyCharms, I don't see how anyone could confuse a G37 with a Tiburon. I'm guessing you haven't seen the G37 in person
