Replacing the filter on the Stillen CAI...
Hi all,
Hope everyone is doing well. Haven't posted for a long time. I placed an order for a Popcharger filter to replace my filter on the Stillen CAI. I know I could of re-oil it but a little skeptic about oiling too much and messing up the MAF so I bought a popcharger filter in the time being.
I have about 14k miles (1 yr 8 months) on the stillen filter. When do you guys change yours?
Also, do I have to take apart everything to put the popcharger filter in?
Thanks...

I use the popcharger on my Stillen airbox, as well. I usually change out the filter every 5,000 miles. Keep the K&N filter, which originally came with the Stillen set-up. You can clean the K&N when you have the time and take your time with the oiling process.
I normally remove the entire assembly to change out the cone filter. I disconnect the airbox with the MAF attached from the intake tube.

So I guess the steps are
-disconnect neg battery
-disconnect maf
-remove the whole assembly
-change filter
-reinstall everything
I forgot but a while back someone mentioned that the stillen cai might be banging the ac line under the box area and suggested to take the front wheel off and zip tie the bottom of the stillen box so it doesn't wobble. Gotta look into it.
Any good recommendation or steps to re-oil so I don't have to throw away the k&n filter?
Should of gotten the popcharger setup instead since it's so much easier changing it.
Thanks
