I'm planning to do a custom Y-pipe set up for my coupe (06auto) I'm starting the Y-pipe after the cats....I was thinking of putting a universal mufflers x2(carbon-fiber) They go for like $50 for both mufflers. on ebay. Is this set up recomended? Am I gonna build alot of back pressure with the mufflers?

Or should get brand name muffler like Injen they go for like $180 each muffler
W/Y-pipe set up.

As far as test pipes, does that make your check engine light go on?
is it ok to have test pipes w/stock exhaust no resenator?

I need answers A.s.a.P
thanks!

mufflers dont matter, its all preference of sound

test pipes will cause a cel, but theres a way to get rid of that.(do a search)

its ok to have t/p without resonators on stock exhaust yes...but if u want maximum power, u wouldnt even bother with a y pipe. juss str8 pipes all the way back.

yeah most "universal" mufflers from ebay sound like crap just so you know so I would be careful of what your buying...I have heard one custom system using ebay mufflers that sounded decent but I think it would be kind of a hit or miss thing...go for the injen!
