i cant decide?????

i have a K&N typhoon CAI right now and i have been reading threads saying that CAI's actually make you lose about 3whp compared to a stock air box with ztube and K&N drop in filter is this true? ive tried searching but cant find what im looking for. should i go with...

-Stock airbox with z tube and K&N drop in filter
-JWT popcharger
-stick with the K&N typhoon intake
car is an 04 g35 with 5/16 spacer, gutted cats, XO2 TD CB, and K&N CAI

please dont tell me to search i have already tried. if you find a thread with answers for me please post the link.
thanks.

I hear a lotta mixed reviews. Pop-charger + Z-tube seems to be the most popular setup.

Im running a CAI and I have no complaints...

If it doesn't.........!

My main concern would be if this K&N system puts the filter outside the
engine compartment.....does it? Other wise K&N makes quality intakes
and I seriously doubt if you lose anything by running it!

ya its outside of the engine compartment its about where the lower grill is. isnt that a long distance for air to travel?

The sacrifice you will make power-wise with your setup is bottom end power. If your MT - you probably don't notice it much. Your setup is designed for top end power.

If you want to retain the top end power - switch to the Stillen CAI and Z-tube.

Also - before and after dyno's with mods will let you really know if your spending your money properly, or buying the right combination.
